How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts

When creating our music video, digipak and magazine advert we had to ensure that they all had some form of link between them. In the end we decided to have several links between the three products. The first is the word Cyanide which is the name of the song used in the music video, the poison that kills the main character in the music video and the title of the album. This is in a large graffiti styled font on the front of the magazine advert and the digipak.
The second link is the underpass used in the music video and the background of the digipak and the magazine advert. This was good link to use as it has graffiti al over it which is stereotypical of the punk rock genre.
We also decided to have an apple with a face graffittied onto the wall of the underpass which links the magazine advert and the digipak together. We used the graffiti style as it is stereotypical of the punk rock genre and would stand out from the other digipaks on sale.
On the digipak we decide to have pictures of the band members which would link to the music video. This again was another convention of the punk rock genre.

Overall I feel that there is a good link between each of the products as they all link to each other in at least one way.
